Revlon Copper Penny

Revlon Copper Penny is a shimmery bronze/copper gold polish with just a bit of silver flecks. As the name implies, it really does look like a new penny! This foil polish is opaque - although I used 2 coats for photos. The application is very smooth as well. The only downfall is that it started to chip after several days.
Copper Penny is joining the ranks among my favorite fall polishes and I have already reached for it several times. The bronze color is just very flattering on my skin and it makes me happy to see it on my hands!

Mini Apple Pies

I watched HeyKayli's YouTube video (link!) on Thanksgiving treats and these little pastries looked so good I went out to buy the ingredients the same day!

Ingredients:
Puff Pastry Sheets or Pie Crust (found in freezer section)
1 Apple
Melted Butter (about 3-4 Tbsp.)
Sugar (about 1/3 cup)
Cinnamon (about 3 tsp.)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
2. Set the puff pastries out flat and coat them with melted butter
3. Mix cinnamon and sugar; sprinkle on top of butter
4. Cut puff pastry into vertical strips about 1 inch thick
5. Cut apple into slices
6. Take one apple slice and roll the puff pastry around it (should look like a croissant)
7. Coat the top with a little more butter and sprinkle more of the cinnamon/sugar mix on top
8. Place on cookie sheet (parchment paper recommended so it doesn't stick)
9. Bake in the oven for 13-15 min.
10. Let cool 15 min. before enjoying

my how-to video

These were super simple to make and only take about 20 minutes total! They are perfect for Thanksgiving or a fun dessert. Bonus: the house smells absolutely delicious when you bake them :)

Zoya Jem Review

Zoya Jem was released as part of the Smoke and Mirrors Collection. It is a deep burgundy color with pink and gold shimmer. The polish is wonderfully pigmented and you could easily wear one coat. I applied two for good measure because I did my nails in the evening and wasn't too confident in the dim light. This color is beautiful - it just makes your nails glow. My only qualms about Jem is that the gold shimmer that is so stunning in the bottle is not as visible on the nails. I bought my bottle from Ulta for about $8.

OPI Warm & Fozzie

This is 3 coats of OPI's Warm & Fozzie from The Muppets Collection. It is a dark grey gel with a multitude of bronze, gold, rose gold, and olive gold shimmer. It translates from the bottle pretty accurately. It is a complex polish that is just stunning... it just radiates warmth. The colors are perfect for fall when the leaves change. This is probably my favorite of the collection, but I have yet to try Designer De Better. Let me know what you think!
